A 1940's OK Mfg. "Bobby Doerr" model three finger glove sold for $100. The glove shows some use but may clean up pretty good. It has the cool extended pocket into the ring/pinky finger. Interesting interlocking triple tunnel web. OK had a lot of unique glove and mitt designs in the late 30's into the 40's. This one was a BIN so it went pretty quick.

An interesting 1930-40's Ol' Reliable brand "Al Simmons" glove sold for $150. Glove is in nice shape and a pretty cool variation of the Denkert patent joined finger webbing.

A Goldsmith "Walter Johnson" glove sold for $470. Markings on the front are stellar. Telltale "spider web" from Goldsmith's "Famous Player" AG series of mid priced gloves.

A Spalding Jimmie Foxx" model 161 base mitt sold for $260. Great looking high quality mitt although the fat roll of the leather piping looked a little odd. Nice T-Web, diverted thumb seam and reinforced finger guard.

An early 1900's Reach crescent pad catchers mitt sold for $180. Looks to have the original reinforced pocket. Needs a fair amount of restoration but a nice vintage piece.

Hey Guys, hope all is well, Watched a Ken-Wel mitt out of curiosity, it is item #121364811566. I know post the pic Glovester, Ah well, Anyway.... did a yankee up in utica NY sew the Decker Patent on the front and not the back??? I have met a few yankee fellers re-enacting that didn't know up from down, but this looks like a factory job to me.

My Shangri La is collapsing fast...10 miles away from the farm, through the communities of Bunker Hill, Chinquapin Grove, Bluff City, and into Hickory Tree along the Holston River, Brad Pitt has a River Home.......Yep, That Brad Pitt.... I mentioned those communities as Papaw's Team back in the day, Thomas Bridge, played teams from these areas...Unbelievable.....Kardashians next?

mikesglove wrote:Pretty nice crescent palm buckle back glove sold for $1076. The mouse damage to the front kind of sucked but the back looked super. I asked the seller if it was an adult size model. Never got a response from that question. That kind of sucked too. I hope the winner is happy with it. That's a lot of money.

Thought I would try to post a couple of follow up pics of the glove (haven't posted pics in awhile, hopefully it works)
The glove is adult size, measures 9+" x 10+", the holes are nail holes (apparently a previous owner used as display), the piping is thick & solid, the leather is soft & supple, the lining is solid with no holes or rips & the padding is thick like it was never used and the buckle assembly is totally intact & working. The seller did respond to my questions, which made it easier to pull the trigger. And yes, I'm happy with it.

A Goldsmith sewn web glove sold for $280, down from the original $500. Unfortunately has flaking of exterior leather but everything else looks to be intact and overall the glove is of decent quality. The patch and button are great, as is the rolled piping and interior.

Looks great..congratulations. Nice to see.
Actually, you could have the nail holes repaired and restore them to be invisible. FWIW.

Thanks for posting the images.
Enjoyed.
This is a piece I definitely want within my very finite and selective collection..
