A 1950-60's Nokona "Don Mossi" model TST20 sold for $73. Nice Glove with the "Tex-Siz Trap" and "Ristankor" Too bad it didn't hit the trifecta with the "Finger-Lok" feature.

A 1950's MacGregor picture glove box for the "Willie Mays" model G101 sold for $358. Seems like a lot of money but the G101 is a popular collector model and a nice box will bring a lot of bucks.

A Rawling's "Brooks Robinson" model XFCB30 and box sold for $209. I like this glove design way more than the XFCB17 with the "Flex-O-Matic" palm. The "Longhorn" back is also pretty cool looking.

This nice mitt sold for $61. I think it was something of a bargain. It's an early full size mitt with nice two-tone leather in decent shape. I'm pretty sure the SHCO logo on the patch is an early one from Simmons Hardware Co. of St. Louis. it's very similar to the American Mitten Co. logo also sold through Simmons Hardware.

I watched this one for several weeks. Finally, I couldn't take it any more. I just had to get a look at the real physical glove. It's a Rawlings G675X Marty Marion glove. The X suggests that it's custom made or made for pro usage, (I think) , as does the fact that it's not listed and is a cross between two top-of-the line gloves from the 1938 Rawlings catalog. It has the laced fingers of the BH, Billy Herman glove, and the wrist strap from the BB, Bosey Berger. I had to add a missing web piece from my small supply of extras. It's starting to shape up pretty nicely! Just added the "before" picture to the photos.

That is the best Marty Marion I have ever seen!! A keeper in my book.

The Drokester scored a winner last night on ebay, a pretty nice 1940's model Bill Doak, for a mere pittance of $19, it is ebay # 111354503643 and the thumb seam is busted but the welting and all are still there!! I have resewn 2 gloves that are keepers in my collection that were exactly like this, A Hornsby Lowe&Campbell A10, and a great Mel Ott, each were purchased for a similar price.

I know it is a belly button model, but... I didn't have one, and everyone needs one in their collection in my reasoning. Got something to fiddle with as I watch the Reds lose another one run game

As always, be on the look out for a PM Pepper Martin, If one does appear, someone grab it for me as I will probably have to make monthly payments..

A 1920's Victor Wright & Ditson catchers mitt sold for $400. Nice white leather with faint but readable markings. Looks to be a "Berkeley" model. Super cloth patch.

A white leather D&M sewn web model G41 "Babe Ruth" model sold for $713. Markings are pretty good, cloth patch is worn. Overall in nice shape. Has been a "holy grail" glove for many but the cut down web didn't help this one at all.

The ebay photos were not very promising and the BIN price was just high enough for bidders to shy away from taking the plunge. I could see it languishing on ebay for a while. You're experienced and know what to look for so it was a good $40 decision and nice rehab job. The uncatalogued Rawlings gloves of that era are a kick to find. Add that one to the list with Stu Martin, Bill Brubaker. Dib Williams and who knows what others. I wonder if the X in the model number was a regional thing. My Hank Greenberg 700X seems to have been from the Detroit area since it also carries the Detroit Tool Shop stamp. I bought it from a seller in MI.

A near mint 1920-30's Stall & Dean glove sold for $149. Looks to be from the middle of the catalog but in pristine condition.

I bookmarked this one but lost track of it at the end. The photos and description were sketchy so kind of a sleeper. It only garnered one bid of $55. it's a Wilson "Bill Terry" model and probably in better condition than the photos indicate. I've had this model before and it was one of Wilson's best base mitts

No one wanted to take a chance on this early model Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" personal model MM and it sold for $31. Amazing how bad photos will dampen the bidding even on a popular glove model.

A nice "Martin Dihigo" glove sold for $500 on ebay. Stamped with "Professional" V490. Looks like a Spalding or Wilson glove distributed in Mexico. This one surfaced on ebay last year for $200. The various Dihigo models seem to sell very well.

My guess is a Wilson with the page turning thumb, so common on that era Wilson. And, if I remember correctly, from Doc Hughes book, that Wilson and Sears had a "presence" in mexico during the War when U.S. glove manufacturers were halted from producing retail gloves.

I think the "Victoria" brand even had a "Wilson" stamp on the front
