A Ken-Wel "George Selkirk" model 544 glove sold for $160. Looks to be near mint. The late 30's style is pretty cool looking.

A Globe "Jimmy Foxx" model base mitt sold for $241. Ink stamp is still really nice and mitt overall in great shape.

A stellar D&M "C.D. Stengel" model G43 glove sold for $1301 on ebay. The only Stengel glove known with that model number and it is a beauty. Another Stengel glove with different model number sold at Legendary for over $2000 a while back so this to some would be a bargain.

Some best buys; first, a super looking crescent fielders glove sold for about $750. Great condition inside and out. Nice full crescent.

A 1920's Reach glove sold for $240. Photos are pretty washed out and the glove is probably better than it looks. White leather looks to have only light wear. Markings on the front are all there and the button and patch are in good shape.

The bargain of the month is this full web Goldsmith glove for $64. the glove looks small in the photos but is easily adult size. The front looks stiff and tattered but is only wrinkled from a lack of inner padding. The reddish leather is still intact and very soft. The inner lining came loose at the heel and the padding fell out over time. Other than that the liner is intact and nice all the way up into the finger stalls. The rare celluloid button and red/white patch are pristine.

I should have tried and gotten that goldsmith, ah well, the button is awesome!! Have enough to work on currently but definetly a steal at $67...

Hey JD, why don't you start a celluloid button link, or somebody, I know they are rare and would be fun to look at the different types out there.

HEY JOE!! we need to go and teach base running in Cincinnati, when the Reds get on base, start the clown music as they trade their cleats for big black floppy clown shoes and don a red nose!!! should have won 3-1 yesterday!
