Wanted:someone to lighten palm oil stain in glove

Postby sunnyjim » June 30th, 2013, 2:41 am

Hello, this is my first time to post, for quite some time; I have a worn,used (not abused)
Warren Spahn Rawlings XPG-3 personal model Heart of Hide, where the palm is dark,
apparently from long time oiling; I have tried baby powder and Fast Orange hand cleaner
with lanolin, and nothing seems to lighten the overall stain.

If there's a leather expert who would take a crack at lightening up the palm, so it comes closer
to the finger leather color, I'd welcome pm from you; thanks for reading.

I'm also in search of a Rogers Hornsby Wilson Lutzke mitt, and a Jim Bottomley mitt;
let me know what you might have, and asking price--thanks again, a wonderful forum for
glove collectors--
