thanks Brett. Cool to see and also I find it interesting that almost every item if in an auction today would command the same starting bid

The catalog is in the library on JD's site now as well - some of the final prices are written down so if you curious how the items did, take a look.

Heavy Vintage Baseball Bat w/ Leather Handle (sku-40806)
I threw a bid in when I saw it, forgot about it until my phone chimed on Saturday and the email said I won it. Really couldn't believe someone else didn't bid on it.
These were top of the line professional or top flight team bats in their time. They are a near impossible bat to find. I know of only 4 of them.

Some really cool items this week. I picked up the Reach Catchers Poster after almost 3 weeks of negotiating with the seller on a private sale. The other two I lost out on ebay but they are still cool items
cool item at $52.00
$375 or so

Great stuff - I liked the belt buckle and thought it sold cheap - just one bid short. If you're a Reach guy, those are two killer items.

Jim that is a great Reach poster!! Is it paper on cardboard stock? Will you have any restoration done or just frame as is?

Cleaning and restoration will run about $350 to 400. I will have to let it sit a while to see if I will keep it or not and then decide.
Yes it is a paper poster on cardboard and at one time had an easel on back dated 1922. One for a baseman's mitt sold at Hunt in November 2012 lot 177? for $2300 in basically the same condition as this but I paid a lot less.
They advertised it as 1910's even though it is dated
What makes this a great items is the catcher is shown in full equipment making it more than a glove ad

The catcher in full gear drew my eye also. The mask is a giveaway its not 1910's. Just a very nice piece..i am jealous!

The chest protector the player is wearing in the ad is neat with the lacing all around the edges - not sure I've seen one like that in real life - do they exist?
