From Robin's book with Paul Rogers, "My Life In Baseball":
'I was headed for a phenomenal time, pitching for the Twin City Trojans, named for Montpelier and Barre, Vermont. I was paid $175 a month for expenses, and all we did was play baseball.. We did not have any outside or part-time jobs., and from June 15 to Labor Day, we played almost every day, 60 games total. The weekeday games were twilight affairs that began about 5:15, and we played in the afternoon on weekends. We a good ball club but lost the pennant to the Bennington Generals. I was strictly a pitcher and finished with an 11-8 won-loss record. I was erratic to say the least. . . ."
