TruSport Brand

TruSport was a brand name of merchandise distributed by Edw. K Tryon of Philadelphia. Knives, tools and saws from the 1800's were stamped with the truSport brand. Eventually TruSport was used for athletic goods. Below are ads for different TruSport athletic products.

This 1950 bicycle badge identifies both TruSport and Edw. K. Tryon Co.

This TruSport glove box below identifies Edw K. Tryon as sole distributor.

It is interesting that some of the TruSport products do not identify Edw K. Tryon as sole distributor. The box below simply states "Sports of all Sorts"

This very nice "Glenn Chapman" model glove below carries the TruSport cloth patch and was undoubtedly made by an independent manufacturer for Edw. K. Tryon Co.
