That's an odd glove. Especially odd is that Rawlings had issued a Lew Burdette-endorsed glove with the model number LB12.

Circa 1949 mint Wilson model 2080 sold for $550 on ebay. This landmark Wilson glove brought a good price for the seller. Streamline Kurv-Form with trademark out-seams and seamless thumb. Great looking black and red Wilson patch. This early version of the 2000 series Wilson gloves features a double tunnel web and may pre-date the popular "Andy Pafko" model.

Classic 1950's Rawlings "Herb Score" model HSP sold for $250 on ebay. This model pre-dates the HOH version and the great looking black and gold Rawlings patch may indicate a 1958 date. Regardless, the glove is in super condition showing only light wear.

Circa 1966 MacGregor KC3 glove sold for $328 on ebay. Large glove, well made out of kangaroo leather. According to the Vintage Baseball Glove Catalog Source Book, This glove was considered the pitchers model. it has a tall closed web, deep pocket and long finger stalls. It may have been the most expensive retail glove at the time at $53, Ten dollars more than Rawling's and Wilson's best.

Another great glove from seller allcoast. A 1960's era Rawlings "Stan Musial" model G12 Personal Model glove and box sold for $650 on ebay. The model number is a new one on me. It may be a hard to find glove.

Those Wilson outward seams gloves from the 40's are one of my favorite models - love the black leather and silver. Can't beat that one.

I wish I could say I've owned one of those early Wilson out-seam gloves but it hasn't happened yet. Here is a nice cover and page from a 1911 D&M catalog that recently sold. The full web, three finger model would be a nice find. The whole catalog is available for download at http://www.baseballglovecollector.com

I was curious if there were any other three finger full web gloves out there in collections so I checked around and found this Reach, Wright & Ditson model from the 1920's

This Lefty three finger model took a little research. I thought it was a full web at first but the web is actually a Rawlings 1930 patent adjustable strap web. The patent number is still mostly visible on the pinky side of the heel. This Glove is an odd one with the fat finger being the first and second combined. It was called the Rawlings "Special" and may have been made in just one year, 1932.

Here is an earlier Honus Wagner Sporting Goods glove that ended at $262. The 40's/50's versions are pretty common but the earlier ones don't pop up as often.

Curious glove for sure. There was an LB Lew Burdette model previously (this glove apparently was not catalogued nor any of the other LB Burdette models LB10, LB14, LB15, LB20 etc.). So what did Rawlings indicate the "L" and the "B" to mean in this Mantle glove LB12? Sometimes Rawlings "L" would indicate an "L" heel, meaning part of the glove side was sewn instead of being laced. I think another LB12 Mantle has turned up previously.

1920-30's J.C. Higgins "Grover Alexander" model 1678 glove sold for $328 on ebay. One of the nicest gloves to show up on ebay in a couple of weeks. Nothing but superlatives from the clear markings in the pocket to the perfect cloth patch on the back.
