I watched the show yesterday March 28 and a young guy (probably 20's) brought in some real cool baseball items. He explained to the appraiser that these items had been in his family for quite some time and were almost sold away so that his parents could refurbish their kitchen. Well this young guy told his parents not to get rid of the items and he was sure glad they didn't once he heard the appraisal.
1. 1910 AG Spalding New York Giants Game used Beals Becker uniform appraised at $20,000-30,000.
2. Huge panoramic photo of both teams from opening day in 1910. The appraiser said it was the largest panoramic photo he had ever seen. It was taller than both of the men probably measured around 6 feet long. If I remember he appraised this for $10,000 or more.
3. Large group photo of the 1910 New York Giants team. $3,000-$5,000.
The family had no clue that their relative Beals Becker's old possessions were worth so much money. In fact the young made told the appraiser his father and uncle used to wear the game used Becker uniform for Halloween!!! Yikes, makes me cringe when I think about that lol. He told him to insure the collection of three items for $50,000!!!
Just thought I'd share, it was a cool find and I wish one day either I or someone else on this forum stumbles on that great of a find.
