Hi- About these Dry Horween HOH gloves - they are made with the same dry Horween that made Rawlings the major glove of the Pros.
I have the PRO1000 and the PRO6XBC (LHT). These will certainly require considerable working-in but I'd bet the farm that they'll last much longer than the cookie cutter oiled HOH gloves that you see everywhere. These are EASILY worth what Don is asking and I'd suggest anyone who craves the feel of an older Rawlings HOH should have at least one of these. The patterns that are a bit wider are marked as such by Don. These are terrific but they are a bit bigger fit. Perfect for guys with larger hands.
This leather is very much akin to what the Rawlings Custom Shop in St. Louis is using for the custom orders that you can get through Eastbay. At 299, they're a "BARGOON" as well.
Don is a great guy and fantastic to deal with. Courteous and great, great service. And- they get gloves that others haven't a hope of seeing in their stores.
Try one- you won't be disappointed! Maybe you'll get a bit tired from breaking it in- but isn't that part of the enjoyment?
Regards to all,
