Mistake to remove embroidery name from glove???

Postby golfswing » October 11th, 2007, 2:05 pm

Picked up a glove off ebay that has a name stitched on the glove's thumb. Would it be a mistake to try and remove it? Not sure what the leather will look like after removal. Anybody ever tried this? Thanks.

Hello,

I have not personally tried it, but I have seen the results of someone who had attempted to remove it. It ends up with many pinpoint sized holes in the leather.

I also just picked up a glove off ebay that has a name stitched on the glove's thumb. Im going to remove it, but does anyone know who can stitch my son's name on it?

Name of a company?

Thanks

I've heard that once a glove is assembled, it is nearly impossible to embroider a design on it (logo, name or number).

I could be wrong.

All of the embroidery is done before a glove is put together. You might be able to get a patch put on.

Let us know if you find out anything about this subject. Thanks.

Baums Sporting goods in Tempe and Tucson AZ do this. They also do laser burning on gloves. google them.
