Laser removal of glove "tatoos"

Postby mittmutt » October 6th, 2007, 12:12 am

Here's a crazy idea. Has anyone ever checked into laser removal of ink on a glove? It works on skin so why not on leather. It might be worth a shot on a really nice glove. Of course I'd want to try it on a beater first but just wondering. If anyone on the forum has a relative in the bussiness maybe this could open some doors.

You know, I've had that exact same thought cross my mind before. While the process would be the same, I would guess that a drawback would be that the procedure is cost prohibitive.

it's a great idea, but i think that laser treatment requires living tissue to remove the pigment...i.e...macrophages gobbling up ink particles from cells damaged by the laser...
i haven't googled this so i'm not 100% certain
