Cleaning baseballs

Has anyone tried to clean a vintage baseball? Is the proceedure any different than cleaning a mitt?

It's generally not a good idea to clean a baseball. They don't clean up the same as a glove, and more often than not, it will ruin the ball. This is especially true with vintage baseballs.

If you want to send me a photo I'd be happy to offer an opinion on the specific ball you are referring to. william@huntingtonbaseballco.com

I wondered if balls would clean the same since the "finish" is different on the leather. I'm glad that I asked.
I am waiting for the ball to arrive in the mail. I'll send a photo when it arrives.
