glove liner for early doak

Hi guys. Anyone know what kind of leather was used to line the early doak gloves? I picked up a project glove and would like to reline it. The orginal leather that remains is really thin, maybe 1mm, and appears to be light tan in color. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
