Glove oil/conditioner for Rawlings Pro Preferred??

Postby golfswing » December 28th, 2006, 7:55 pm

What is the best glove oil or conditioner should I use on a Rawlings Pro Preferred glove? I need to try and bring a well used PP glove back to life if possible. Seems like I have heard somewhere that you should not treat the Kip leather the same as you would HOH leather. Is this true?

Thanks in advance for the help.

might be glove loogie

It is a decent product if you plan to utilize the glove for game play. I don't know about as a preservation formula.

Most of the people who use Pro-Preffered gloves never oil them...they just just them until they wear out (which isn't usually that long of a time)

Lanolin

I would suggest using some hydrous lanolin that you rub into the leather with your fingers. It both conditions and preserves the leather. I've used it on many types of leather and have always been pleased with the results.

Lanolin

You can purchase hydrous lanolin at any drug store. It usually comes in a one pound tub for about $12. It is unscented. If they don't have it on the shelf they can order it for you.

If you go to the pharmacy and order it give them the NDC number which is 0168-0051-16. Sometimes pharmacists don't know what you're talking about. 8)
