Source for Glove Laces

Postby BretMan » August 23rd, 2008, 10:10 pm

If you guys are like me, you're always looking for a good source for glove laces. We see a lot of posts here on the topic and some good sources have been passed along.

Here is another possible supplier I just came across while browsing the net. They do seem to offer some colors that are hard to find. I haven't placed an order yet, so I can't testify as to the quality of laces you'll get.

Strangely, they don't seem to have prices listed. If you click on the "Order" button, the price that pops up is $1.82 per lace, which would be a pretty good price.

This past week I requested samples of lace from Zach at Triple D. Apparently they are currently out of some colors, but he said he would send me samples of what he does have in stock at the moment. I'll post when I get it.

It would be nice if you're selling something to have the prices listed.

When you spoke to Zach, did you discuss pricing or shipping costs? When I tried to go through his PayPal order procedure, the price for an individual lace was $1.82- not a bad price. But the shipping cost calculated to about $10, regardless of whether I tried to order one lace or 25 laces!

The "checkout" calculator added sales tax of nearly $50 (yes, fifty) on an order of 25 laces! That can't be right.

I sent him an email but haven't heard back yet.

No, I didn't- Didn’t even think about it to be quite honest. I was just hoping to get some samples. I have never spoken with him- it’s been all email. Hopefully he includes shipping info, etc. with some samples. Before I knew about this forum, I corresponded with Zach a year or so ago, and if I remember correctly, I thought the price per lace lowered, the more you ordered- Doesn't look like he does that anymore. I will definitely keep you posted with a follow-up as soon as I receive samples.

That's some hefty shipping for two laces. I've got 50 laces and a bunch of other stuff coming from Tanner's to Calgary and the shipping was only $18.
