All the ones I've taken apart have had the insert on the outside- not to say that there isn't some glove out there with it on the inside, but I have never seen one.

The thumb insert is inside the pad on Rawlings except for the eastbay that I still make here in USA and they are long and on the back of the thumb curving toward the oval label to keep it from hurting your thumb

I've finally had the chance to come back to the forum and check out your before and after pic's and I am very impressed! Your students must be thrilled.

Hi, sorry it took me so long to reply to your different responses.

So, I have checked the plastic insert and it is definitely not broken. I removed the lace to make sure the insert was intact with a lacing needle, and I'm sorry to say that there's nothing I can do about it. I even tried to push the thing a little on the side, but then the holes wouldn't correspond and I wouldn't be able to relace it. So I'm afraid that's all there's to it: this glove will hurt whatever I do!

I'll give it another shot, you never know...

Why not remove the insert? Some gloves do not have them.

Vous avez rien a perdre pour essayer :)
