Can a leather strap be Reinforced?

Postby jstntym21 » January 3rd, 2008, 11:40 am

I have a buckle back glove with a strap that is tearing. The leather is quite thin and the buckle has torn through one of the holes. Replacing the strap is out of the range of my skills and may not be worth repelacing. Could I use some leather or other material as a backing to prevent further damage to the strap?
