How to relace the Holdster lace ?

Postby Moonlight Graham » December 9th, 2007, 10:36 am

I have a Rawlings catcher's mitt and at the back of it, the laces surrounding the Holdster are untied. Both ends seem to be in perfect condition, so they're not broken, but I can't figure out how to relace or wedge them inside the lining. Can you help me ?

holdster lacing

If this is the lacing around the finger hole, it doesn't tie together. one end lays on the inside about a half and inch or so and then you loop through each of the holes covering over the 1/2" end until its covered. Go all around the finger hole like that. Once you have it laced all around take the remaining bit of lace and pull it back through some of the previous laces (on the inside) to tuck that end away.

hope this helps. I'll try to send a photo.
