It was in poor shape and someone took a marker and pen to the outside of the glove. Name, address and telephone number.
I was looking for information and came across a few ideas here on the board on removing the ink (thank you for the information). I stopped this morning and got some 320 grit sandpaper and softly rubbed the areas. About 95 percent of the ink came off. It was hard to see what was coming off because of the "lint" the leather was giving off and the extreme beige color the leather was turning.
I re-laced the entire glove and gave it a generous coat of Glovolium and it came out pretty snazzy.
I'm really proud of the glove. I wish I had before and after pictures.
I will use this sandpaper technique till I come across something better.
