Does anyone out there have a Wilson Billy Martin store model A2100? There currently is a Billy Martin game used glove, claimed to have been used by Martin in the 1953 world series, that is this model. It doesn't show up in the Wilson line until 1954 and it is a $12.50 glove with nine gloves listed above in price range, Gomez A2034 at the top at $25.00. In other words the Matin is half the price of the top line glove. The glove is certified by MEARS as authentic but I could not find a grade for it and described as "possible by use as a pro player."
The glove was given by Martin to a kid to play with and there are letters from the two involved plus a newspaper clipping from a small town paper about the gift.
If someone has one of these, I'd like to know about the size and quality of the glove and one that an evidently skilled fielding Martin could make the great catch on Jackie Robinson's hit?
