Mine has the snaps. my guess would be that the snaps came first to allow for removal of the sweatband that came with this model. the ones I've seen in stores lately the sweatband has velcro.

snaps only lasted a couple of season's. didn't hold up well. If one comes out it just takes 4 holes to repair with a lace which is easier than trying to fix a snap. willing to help if ya need me

I heard the reason we aren't seeing professional players using the Primos is the team owners. They are afraid if they get their hands in that fine Italian leather the next thing the players will be wanting is a Starbucks and bench warmers in the dugouts. Has anyone else heard this?

Space50,
Mmmmmmmmmmm, no I hadn't heard that. With some of the money these guys make, they can afford to have a fully-staffed Starbucks built right in the middle of the clubhouse.

PRO NOT USING PRIMOS

Postby BillBethea19 » April 11th, 2008, 8:51 am

Accodring to the Pro Department, the leather is limited and if they offered it to the pros there would be not enough to retail. This is coming from a person I order alot of customs from through the pro department

For that matter I never see any pros using Nocona gloves anymore, but I still like them. Do all players get some kind of endorsement fee to use a particular companies' gloves, or only the "stars"?

Nokona

Postby bs » April 12th, 2008, 10:06 am

Generally everybody in MLB gets paid to wear a glove; minor leaguers in AA & AAA are even looking for money these days. Nokona used to promote on their hang tags that they would not endorse professional athletes in order to keep cost down. A few years ago, after Mr. Lewis bought a chunk of the company, they seemed to change this philosophy. Todd Walker was on the cover of their catalog and website. Currently, Ryan Franklin with Cardinals uses a Nokona.
