First Base Mitt LHT

Postby jackwhale » July 6th, 2007, 2:16 pm

My personal glove is a Rawlings Pro-DC, and I would definitely like another.

Also interested in high quality 1B LHT mitts from 50's to the present.

The mitt looks so much better in these pictures. You mentioned that this was an early 60's mitt and perhaps the factory markings are different. Is there a HOH bull in the pocket or has that worn away?

I am looking forward to receiving my copy of Joe's glove pricing guide. I've been bidding blind and have no idea about age or value of these mitts.

What price did you have in mind for this nice looking mitt?

Thanks, Jack

Might want to verify the date of mfg....I didn't say early 1960's. Mark?

Yes, there is a hoh bull stamping in the palm, although faint.

I think I misquoted--late 60s early 70s is my impression.

I dug a XPG 6 HOH Willie Stargell infield glove out of the garage and the markings are similar. I bought that glove in 1967.

I'm looking forward to the glove pricing guide just to identify what gloves I have.
