I have one. It's a great glove. I got it in December, and I've been working it pretty hard with a mallet. I hope to have it game ready by June. The leather is rock hard out of the box, just like the old school HOH gloves.

Thanks For the response Mine should be coming on Wednesday, how is the leather color the pictures seem to very on a light tan to brown, like the sound of the good hard leather, also is the glove size a true 12 or does it run a little smaller

thanks

The glove feels a bit bigger than 12 inches to me, which is good, because I'm getting old. As for the color, mine is the same color as the classic HOH light tan/wheat color. It takes on a nice honey brown with a light coat of Lexol NF.

Hi- About these Dry Horween HOH gloves - they are made with the same dry Horween that made Rawlings the major glove of the Pros.

I have the PRO1000 and the PRO6XBC (LHT). These will certainly require considerable working-in but I'd bet the farm that they'll last much longer than the cookie cutter oiled HOH gloves that you see everywhere. These are EASILY worth what Don is asking and I'd suggest anyone who craves the feel of an older Rawlings HOH should have at least one of these. The patterns that are a bit wider are marked as such by Don. These are terrific but they are a bit bigger fit. Perfect for guys with larger hands.

This leather is very much akin to what the Rawlings Custom Shop in St. Louis is using for the custom orders that you can get through Eastbay. At 299, they're a "BARGOON" as well.

Don is a great guy and fantastic to deal with. Courteous and great, great service. And- they get gloves that others haven't a hope of seeing in their stores.

Try one- you won't be disappointed! Maybe you'll get a bit tired from breaking it in- but isn't that part of the enjoyment?

Regards to all,

Breaking in the glove is the best part!

They are also a little bit heavier as well. My Pro Shop Tan gloves with this same leather are a bit heavier, but they feel thicker as well. Definitely quality leather though.

I've got a Morton's Pro1000HC and just love it! Nice stiff Horween leather.

Not to get off the original XPG3 question, but does the PRO-1000HC feel about the same size as the older USA PRO-1000HC? It just seems that some of these Don Morton gloves run bigger than the original patterns.

It doesn't appear to run bigger. Kind of hard to tell until I really break it in. My old Pro100H is so loose and broken in that it almost seems bigger because the ball just "sucks" in to the pocket.

I can only hope my new glove breaks in as good as my old one did.

I have an XPG3, great leather, takes effort to break in like a real glove should but I agree with a few of the others, it does seem to be bigger than the advertised 12 inches. You will not be disappointed.
