Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Its a really nice glove. It is by far the closest to broken in I have seen in a HOH glove when its new. It is also suprisingly heavier than I thought. Not that its very heavy, but with the synthetic back I assumed it would be lighter. It is sized pretty true to its listed 12 1/4", very much like the PRORV23B. The single post hinged web is very cool looking.

I am not sure its a keeper just yet, especially if I do intend to use it and not just have it as a collectors item.

Recieved my PROAR13 today and am a little disapointed I am not a mesh back guy and really don't see much weight difference from my all leather PRORV23. The double hinged web is my favorite part of the glove. The leather is fine and is very similar to my PRORV23 from Don Morton sports. What I don't like is the back wrist strap which has an extra piece of leather which the PRORV23 does not have which also makes the back wrist strap seem very big. The quality of the leather is very nice and is ready to use pretty much right away although I would work it a little to shape it to my hand. If you are one of those guys who don't like to stick you hand all the way in the glove then forget about this glove it will seem like an outfielders mitt to you guys. I think it would be more usefull as a softball infielders mitt than a hardball glove. All in all it is a pretty decent glove but you can get a lot more for your buck with some other Rawlings models. Still a nice rare piece by Rawlings.

If you look at pics of AROD using his, it seems like he jams his whole hand in there as far as he can.

If there is no engraving on the palm area where your hand sits, I am guessing they used their "dual core" technology.
