Mizuno Pro Limited Question

Postby Raw » November 23rd, 2008, 5:51 pm

The Mizuno Pro Limited has had model numbers MZP, GZP and now GMP. Can anyone explain what the differences are between each series? Are/were they each made in different places? Do they represent different patterns? Is the leather different? Thanks.

The old Japan MZP's were special. That is all

So are they all basically the same, except the MZP's were made a little better?

Were all the MZP's made in Japan?

The newer China made GMPs are still good, but thinner, softer Deguchi leather.

Someone listed a weird one on ebay today Item number: 180308844110 I had a chance for this one at $175, but passed because I think its a GMP mis-stamped

I think the MZPs were the best but I like the thick Horween-like leather in a glove. These, MZPs from japan were like that.

The GZPs are very nice too, but much more buttery in feel.

I think they stiffened up the leather again in the GMPs but nowhere near as stiff as the MZPs.

So the modern GMP's are made in the Philippines?

Pretty sure the newer ones are from China

it appears that the GZP's were made in Japan and China (possibly a transitional thing?)

Did they make a 12 3/4 MZP with an Ichiro web?
