Turning a glove inside out?

Postby RedSoxFan81 » September 25th, 2008, 4:23 pm

Just was curious if this does any harm to a glove? Someone had mentioned when working a glove by hand to get it to loosen up that turning it inside out can help reduce some stiffness in the palm and other areas. Just figured I'd get some info/input from you guys. Thanks.

You probably need Popeye's forearms to do that.

I did it with a Nomar infield glove and it didn't lose its shape or anything, but I wouldn't do it again. It will speed up breaking it in, but I'd rather break a glove in slowly by catching with it.
