Okay Boys and Girls, I’m the one who bought the Chocolate Color PRO-1000H.
Here are more pictures (please examine evidence PRO1000H A-E); you will all be the judges on making this call:
Has the glove been dyed (tinted, colored, and painted)?

If so, what does it do to the leather? I need a “gamer” http://www.vintagebaseballgloveforum.co ... php?t=2438 so I just bought it.

My first thoughts were yeah the picture seems kind of dark…but it’s a PRO-1000H
(that was the little voice inside my head trying to reason why I just clicked on the “buy it now” button), then I asked for more pictures…so you guys (and galls) make the call…

Also, let’s say it has been dyed…Should I be playing with this glove?

Is all the ink going to melt off the glove in the middle of one of my games?

I do live in Hot A$$ Arizona and we do play right when its 115 degrees so…

Please be honest…was I just a victim of itchy trigger finger?

I think I might have pulled the trigger too fast on this glove!

My hope is that Doc was experimenting one late evening with some new type of Chocolate color leather and then decided to go with the “camel” color instead!

Thanks

It doesn't look dyed, to perfect on the color and I do have that leather, it was called throw back we were trying to make gloves that already looked old. I could have very well made that glove that color at sometime. I made gloves almost that color for Kevin costner in love of the game, in fact I have one he autographed to me.

MSgt J. Enriquez - So whats the verdict? Feel good....seem dyed? I backed off the auction because something didn't seem right....hope it works for ya. -MV

I think everyone backed off at the beginning...I’m glad I didn’t. Turn out the “Doc” was right about this glove. This is the real deal. It’s perfect in color…glove had never been used and it’s made from the “throw-back” leather.

Just curious if you had put conditioner or anything on the leather yet, or if it came with the shine on it? (maybe a camera flash thing too). Did you ever find out how the seller acquired it? Sweet glove either way. It's like the colorway of the Omar Vizquel Eastbay model from the flag patch run.

Yes you are correct Sir. Its both. I applied a little glove conditioner and I had the flash on. But the glove is in excellent condition. Yes, the guy told me he purchased the glove back in 2000 from a guy in St. Louis. Also, the glove is not Oil Tanned leather nor Horween. Doc called the leather "Throw-Back".
