I bought a set of these so I could improve my grandson's catching skills. When you first try these, for about the first 5-10 minutes, you can't catch anything, and it's extremely frustrating. All of a sudden, you start getting the hang of it and then it's really a lot of fun. My grandson and I laughed so hard while we were doing this, and we couldn't believe the catches that we were both making. Then we switched back to our regular baseball gloves and a hardball and it felt like we were throwing a basketball and catching with a trash can. What a weird feeling making the adjustment from the small ball and web glove to the conventional ball and glove. I think that this is an absolutely great learning tool for baseball players. It really helps to improve eye/hand coordination. My grandson and I still use this from time to time before playing catch, and we have a great time together doing it. It's a great way to spend quality time with my grandson, and it helps him improve his skills at the same time. A classic win-win situation.
