I've decided to start collecting (your advice needed)

Postby Goldy the Gopher » July 1st, 2008, 9:55 pm

I'm 22 years old and would like to start collecting gloves. I've bought numerous high end gloves to play with, but now want to buy for the purpose of collecting. What are some things I should be looking for?

My initial ideas are, keep tags on gloves, buy for uniqueness (I just bought a Heart of the Hide Pro lite because of the black rawlings patch on the back),

please give me some feedback as to what I can do to start out a long and successful collecting career
-How often do you add to your collection?
-Are there specific models that you've collected over the years?

Thank you in advance

Uniqueness is the biggest plus in my book. Something that a lot of collectors do not have is always nice. i would be sure to pick up some of the USA HOH's as well, you cannot go wrong there. I see you are in MN, I am as well and if you are looking for anything in particular, PM me, I can possibly be able to find it for you. Pro Issues/ Game Used are possibly my favorites. Rawlings are by far the coolest out there, but a Pro Issue A2000 is much more rare and can be better looking, for example the old Rey Ordonez A2000 ORD.
