Wingtip exclusive..

Postby splinters » June 19th, 2008, 11:51 pm

Anyone looking for an exclusive russett and black pro preferred glove wingtip with 2 piece pitchers web...I think these were made for baseball express and for some reason baseball express did not carry them...probably because it is a pitchers glove but because of the 2 tone color pitchers could not use them, etc...they changed the wingtip to an H web russett /black exclusinve. -Matt

I had this one on watch the first time it was listed. Something is off with the wingtip though. Look and see how the tips are not on the fingers but between them.

That looks like a nice glove. What are people's thoughts on "wood" padding? Seems a little uncomfortable?

I concur

I agree with Hrking. The apexes of the wing tips should align with the welting at the back of the fingers, not between the fingers.

However, I suppose it makes very little difference to the function of the glove.
Yes, I still have my first glove.

I think it's a sweet looking glove - even though the tips SHOULD align with the welting, I really like the look. It's as if the wingtip pattern continues past the fingers, and over the pocket.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of two-tone gloves, so if I had to give a reason that I wouldn't buy one, that'd be it...

I bought one, I really like the rustic leather series, it matches my teams uniform well even though I don't use them. I like the wingtip style, I might buy a second if mine looks good. A rare beauty, the rustic's are one of the few baseball express exclusive models I like
