PROAK2NBPRO and PROAK

Other then the different colored of laces I can't tell the difference. I love these gloves. They are both 11.5 inches and single post both are pro issued gloves. It's very similar to the Troy Tulowitzki model (his however in tan which I really want).

However the two black leathered versions I have feature two different types of leather. Both have suede like leather on the outer shell and on the inside I believe is typical HOH leather (I need confirmation on this). Also what makes these gloves very unique is that both are HOH but they have the finger gel pads that are seen in the pro preferreds.

I'm not to sure about the different id numbers on the gloves so hopefully docglove can share some insight on it or someone that knows.

Anyways the all black one is almost broken in. The red laced one is basically brand new just used a couple of times.

Here are some pictures. You can see the different leathers used better on the red one since it's in newer condition.

I love these gloves but I'm willing to entertain some offers.

I too am curious about the difference between some of the gloves with 'PRO' added to the end of them like a PRO12XTCK and a PRO12XTCKPRO. My speculation is this: Gloves with a 'PRO' added to the end can sometimes be found in stores like Chicks on the west coast, but are still technically pro patterns not made for everyone like regular pro preferreds or HOH's are. I also speculate that some of the 'PRO' models are given to players out of Spring Training and not ordered by the player direct from Rawlings. For your two gloves it seems more likely that the black with navy back and black laces is more likely to be a store special make up or a spring training glove due to its more regular colors. The red laced one seems more like it was custom ordered, thus lacking the 'PRO' at the end of the model #.

Here is what I can tell you:
I had a PROAK2 that was an 11" back in 2005. I got it from Ebay seller BillyFitz13 and it was from a rep from wherever he got it. These gloves are not a public model and have the 'NB' color. As for the split leather, usually notated by 'N(avy)B(lack)' I believe it is HOH leather that is tanned differently than the palm leather to have that suede-like appearance.

3 Questions; and check you PM
1) where are the finger gel pads you are talking about...? they arent on either glove?
2) There is not an individually handcrafted # on either... what are you talking about there?
3) Where did you pick each of these up?

1) In all pro preferred gloves index finger gel pads are featured. This is why pro preferreds hold there shape more then the HOH gloves and why they really never break in like the HOH's.

Hopefully that answers your question. However this is something that your feel when your put the glove on and field.

2) I believe the individually handcrafted #'s are only seen in the pro preferred gloves. Like I stated before the glove is a Heart of the Hide (pictures proves it). I regards to the ID number I meant to say the code numbers (ex. ProAk).

3) Both were picked up on ebay. I might have to look at the ProAk descriptions from the auction to give you the details.

In regards to the all black glove I don't recall the details from the description. I doubt the listing can be pulled up since its been a couple of months.

According to the seller he purchased the PROAK from a store in California for $195.00.

The listing for the PROAK2NBPRO I could not pull up.

Hm, I maybe I am wrong about the 'PRO' vs no 'PRO' if it was bought at a chicks in California. The AK and AK2 are the same to my knowledge. I believe one is newer (The one with the '2'). What are the date codes to confirm? I suspect that they are a year apart since my Kennedy model was from around 2003/4/5 and just had PROAK with the same lace pattern although it was only 11". I know for a fact that Rawlings will add or subtract up to 1/2" on a glove when ordered by a Pro player. I still dont know what you mean by index finger gel pads? Are you talking about a palm pad rather than the pad on the outside of the index finger?
