I'm looking for a RAWLINGS PROTROY GLOVE!

Postby upthemiddle » June 12th, 2008, 10:21 am

Where can I get one of those RAWLINGS PROTROY gloves, like the one Chase Utley uses??? I've read some other entries, and a few say, "I'm getting one next week" or "I ordered one and it's on its way". My kid plays infield and would love one of those??

Hey up the middle: Check out the section of this site for wanted books. You might have more hits in that section.

Have you tried Eastbay or the Rawlings Custom Shop?

The PRO TROY gloves pop up not very often, as far as what I've seen and been told. I actually have one, I am gonna have to sit down debate what it would be worth for me to part with it if I did. It was issued to Troy back in his Angels days, it's an all black model that he used for at least 1 full season.

I dont understand how you want a PROTROY if you have never played with one before... Any glove with a player name was most likely designed to their specs and not necessarily an average hand/ person. If you are looking for a 11- 12 inch Single Post or I-web glove the PRONP4DC or PRO200-2JB are perfectly adequate gloves to actually use.

Hahahaa, Gold Glove, our PRO TROY 25 gloves are absolutely identical. That's why I got mixed up for a second. I agree with HRking it definitely has it's own specs and mine is for sure designed specifically with features for someone playing 3rd base.

Anyone know what the differences are between a PROTROY11 and a PROTROY25?

25 is a 11 3/4 or 12 incher with a thicker single post web. The 11 is an 11 or 11 1/2 incher with an I web usually.

I saw a picture of the PROTROY glove and really liked the look ,doubt it if everyone has used the exact glove they want before actually puchasing it..... I did mention it was for my kid, so 11 1/2 would be the best size.........sounds like you are the expert, so thanks for the input!
