Just looking through the Rawlings for old gloves to work on, find one to put on the watch list and, what do you know? It ends!

Not BINs with Best Offers but regular auctions starting up at $0.99 or so. I know the seller can do whatever they want but why post it to yank it a day later?

i know this might make you mad. But i have the pro6hf on ebay now and i state in there to make an offer. I dont feel like paying the ebay fees because they have me at both ends, if you know what i mean. I have stated this before i like buy it now, i dont understand why someone wanting a glove for instance would bid, at 100, dollars when the buy it now is 135, and then end up losing the glove, it doesn't make since to me. Anyway sorry they pulled your glove, it was probably a glove i was watching, but can t check my ebay here at work.

Saw you HOH after I ranted. At least you state upfront you'll yank it if the right offer comes along. That's perfectly fine.

Just logging in and seeing something fall off the map is kind of disappointing.

Yep, exactly what I was looking for, a good glove that needed some TLC.

There was another HOH out of San Diego about 2 weeks ago that was very similar and it fell off the map as well.

yup, i am on break at my house and checked it and it was the one on my list as well. I asked if he had a buy it now price, he said "NO", so i just sent him a message saying, how much did you get for the glove. I will post it if he tells me.

May just have had seller's remorse and decided to keep it. Can't say that I'd blame him.

Ah damn, I need to vent this one out in here too. Some griffey batting gloves last week were up on ebay. So I decided to ask the seller if he was willing to put a BIN price. He said make an offer, after stating that some people already made offers on the side. Well he eventually gives me a price. High price tag in my opinion but whatever I really wanted them. So I make him a offer less then what he asked for ($20 less). So he agrees to the price. I make the payment through paypal but he didn't accept it. In my mind I'm thinking he's probably waiting to see if he could get more if he lets the auction run. If the auction doesn't get higher then what I sent him he will probably accept the agreed price from paypal. There was a day left on the auction bidding was no where near my offer so I decided to pull the offer back through paypal. What do you know he took down the auction. Either the seller saw that I pulled the offer from paypal and decided he wasn't getting what he wanted through the auction when it was going to end or he waited for someone to offer more then me on the side. Anyways I though it was a shady move on his behalf to agree on a price on the side and then wait to see if the auction was going to make more then the agreement.

His actions were probably complicated by the fact that Ebay sellers can no longer leave negative feedback on buyers. If he sold to you and you posted your plausible description of what happened as feedback, the seller would have no way to refute it.

Perhaps this forum would be one place that individual seller's actions could be recorded accurately?

I am more than a little dismayed with the new rule change. If you read Ebay's reasonings it appears that they want to aid the large sellers. To me that is a pity because Ebay provides a place for people to sell what they have and buy what they want at a small scale and realize market value. That is the glory of Ebay, not that I can buy the same 'stuff' online instead of driving down to a brick and mortar retailer.

Hey guys, I want to apologize to anyone who may have been looking at my glove on ebay. I am fortunate enough to have found someone on this forum to swap with. I am able to not only get a glove I wanted but avoid ebay fees. Also, I can't think of a better way to deal than with someone on this forum.
