Can someone explain why

Postby awarsoca » May 23rd, 2008, 11:34 am

my new to me PRO-6XBC seems so freaking huge? Admittedly I have been using my PRO-15B and GGP200G allseason long. They are both 11.5 but that PRO-6XBC is only a 12. It seems monstrous on my hand. If I cant get used to the size it's heading for a trade for an 11.5

I thought the same thing about the XPG3 that I bought from Don Morton - really nice glove (Horween, great detailing, wing tip, etc) but huge!

Sold it.

Good, I'm not alone. Was worried I was suffering a mental lapse or something

XPG3 and 6XBC

The reason they seem so big is they are old school cut with deep pockets and extended palms.....It would have been better if they took the old school patterns ( wingtip, etc) and cut them more like the modern gloves....The trapeze 12TC HOH from Don Morton is perfect...it is actually a 11.5-11.75" not a 12"...note the 12TCB Black TBC is bigger than a 12"...more like a 12.25"-12.5".........The 1000HC H web is a modern fit also (perfect)

I am an old school fool

These old school gloves with generous pockets are my preference.

I have a medium size hand but have always liked a loose fit glove.

Anyone have on they are looking to sell or trade?

John, wished I would have known you when you dealt the xpg3.
