Rawlings HOH leather types

Postby Hrking4675 » May 21st, 2008, 7:31 pm

I have a PRONP4JC (chocolate brown HOH) and a PRONP4MB (All Black HOH with Mesh Back) and there is clearly a difference in the leathers. I was wondering if anyone knew the different types of HOH leathers Rawlings uses and how they are different. I know the 'JC' one is a Japanese tanned one and came considerably stiffer than my 'MB' which seems to be a little more oily although there is no oil treated stamp and came much softer. I know there is also that new Dual Core HOH leather thats very soft.

I was just looking at my order form and it says HOH and then Japan Leather then Kip Leather than Other. What is the difference and what is 'other?'
