My 25 cent glove patch

Postby romanobooogardo » April 22nd, 2008, 9:28 am

o sorry...the glove's patch says 'Penneys'.
I gather that most department stores had their own brand of glove?
The thing that interested me was the stamp 'Okinawa'- everyone has seen 'Made in Japan' but this is a little different...

Penneys Gloves

Postby Cowboy7130 » April 22nd, 2008, 9:47 am

If I remember correctly, Rawlings made gloves for Penneys department stores back in the 1960's and 1970's. Same models, different labels.
Yes, I still have my first glove.
