HOH FYI

Postby opticsp » April 19th, 2008, 3:24 pm

I am the proud owner of a "HOH" 54HC since 1984. I still love it and often just put it on to walk around the house! Well, I have often looked around to see if I can find another one and have had a very difficult time. So, I wrote to our friend docglov and he informed me that my "HOH" 54HC is basically a Pro 1000 H but that for some reason Rawlings decided in 1984 to rename all HOH with "HOH" in front rather than the Pro. He mentioned that the pros would not use the gloves because they claimed they had been changed from the original patterrns which docglov says is not true. So, the following year they went back to the Pro designation.

Just thought some of you would like to know this info.

i have an "HOH" 300 FF. If this was done only for one year does this affect the value?

I am not sure about the value because to me my glove is priceless. I would never give it up. Besides, I am not much of a collector because I like to use my gloves. Wouldn't you think that having one of these HOHs would make them rare or unique?
