pro preferred 2 tone Bruciato Italian leather

Postby splinters » April 7th, 2008, 7:54 pm

Just returned from the local sporting goods store with the info on the new pro pref....The reason for the price increase is because the Pro Preferred 2 tone gloves are made of kip leather (camel colored part ) and Italian Bruciato leather ( russett colored part) with sheep skin lining...these around $299...

the regular pro preferred gloves are kip leather with sheep skin lining $279...

heart of the hide ox blood with HOH pull-up oil leather with deer skin lining $199....

Heart of the Hide Dual Core has HOH soft leather with HOH soft leather lining.........

Gold Glove Limited has Pro Soft leather with pro soft leather lining....

Gold Glove Series: Pro Soft with Deer tanned cowhide lining

The new regular HOH's have deer skin too I believe. Look at the PRO200-4JB on ballglovewarehouse.com the pic clearly shows deerskin lining on a plain black HOH.

Received my Raw Pro Pref 2 Tone

Postby splinters » April 17th, 2008, 1:19 pm

Just received my NEW Rawlings Pro Preferred 2 Tone 12.75" PROS27T2T glove. It is beautiful... A great deal $208 on ebay..first 2 tone that has been on ebay.....The Pittards sheep skin lining is like butter...SMOOTH....The new gloves now have the circular made in the Phillipines stamp on the pinky of glove near date code.....I love the gloves Rawlings makes out of the Phillipines, however, I liked it better when they weren't stamped Made in Phillipines on the gloves..(pre 2009 models)...before you could just remove the paper tag...Overall a very nice glove. Next purchase: the wing tip 2 tone -matt

Ha I was looking at the auction as it was ending. It was a real nail bitter towards the end as the price jump a good $50 in the last couple of minutes. I contemplated so long on whether or not to bid but I convinced myself that the color wasn't of my liking. Regardless it was a deal for $208 and yes it was the first 2 tone to go up on ebay. Take some pics I want to see some upclose shots of it.

pro pref

It is nice, but not in the same as league as the PRIMO 12.75".......so I decided to buy another PRIMO 12.75" last night on ebay. Note...the pro preferred weighs about half of what the primo weighs.

Thats what's great about the preferreds they are really light, lighter then the heart of the hides too. The kip leather is so tin and the the gel pads make it really light. I probably will never get a Primo due to the weight.
