Good guess on the date. The GJF8 appears in the 1971, 1972 and 1973 Rawlings catalogs. I haven't seen one for awhile, but have seen them on eBay. Does this glove have the "star" web with the cutouts in it?

Another interesting Belanger model shows up in the 1975 catalog- an XPG8 that was a near top-of-the-line glove. I don't believe I've ever seen one of those!

That was the glove!

That was the glove I was looking for when I first found this forum! Yes, the experts helped me find the glove I WISH I had had when I was in Little League in 1972. Lo and behold it was the Rawlings GJF8 with the 4-pt. black star web.

However, it seems that it was made for a kid's hand. :( Now that I am full grown and a little bit more  I am afraid my hand would be too big for the glove. Was there an adult model of the glove?
Yes, I still have my first glove.
