Pro Preferred gloves by rawlings leather seems to crack why?

I was wondering if Docglov could answer this question or any other forum member i have had a couple of pro preferred that there leather seamed to crack after a couple of years. No i didnt own them they are gloves i picked up. if anybody has any idea's let me know thanks.

I have noticed that the PP leather does not wear nearly as well as HOH in the Rawlings gloves I service. Seems that HOH is more forgiving (durable) in spite of the poor treatment many of these gloves endure.
