Why Do Custom Rawlings Glove Options Differ By Retailer?

Postby Brotherray » February 23rd, 2008, 3:14 am

It seems like I can't find a retailer that offers all of the options I want for a custom glove. Some don't offer palm pads, navyblue leather, or 1B mitts. Is there any way to tweak the requests to add some of these features or are we stuck with what the retailer offers?

I imagine that ultimately, the gloves are all made at the same place.

Thanks for the link. I've always been a HOH guy but there seem to be a lot of other outfits making custom gloves these days.

I have experimented around with a couple of different gloves and I am back to HOH. With an HOH pattern you just know what you are going to get. My Akadema AMJ 27 just does not catch like the HOH 302, and my Glovesmith mod-trap 11.5 does not fit my hand the same as my HOH. Both are good gloves, the Glovemith is really a well crafted piece of work, but the comfort level is simply not the same as with my HOH models.
