Rawlings Premium series SG76

Postby latitude » January 29th, 2008, 7:28 pm

1992 Rawlings Premium series SG76 (mark of a pro) outfield glove 13 1/4 ( List $158 ) color = brownish-red

Was my first ever PRO glove and for the short time I had it ( One season/work softball league ) I loved it. I lost it ( Was stolen ) and would love to get a replacement.

Anyone know or have one to sale ?

Thanks in advance,
latitude

I do see these pop up on eBay with pretty fair regularity.

I found it in the 1990 Rawlings catalog, I'm guessing it was Rawlings answer to a premium softball glove, holster back, basketweb, reddish color and 13" 1/4"
I'll keep looking too.

He said it's nearly the same glove design ?

You don't see too many black models (note the "B" in the model number). Most of the ones I've seen are that brick-red sort of color. But they all have the Wing-Tip back, along with the unique "checkerboard" weave that creates a flexible hinge.

$119 Buy-it-Now? That was nearly the full retail price for these gloves back in the late 80's/early 90's- and it wasn't uncommon for retailers to price their gloves at 50%-75% of the suggested retail price.

Seems on the high side for one of these- unless you really, really want it!

looks like a proB, definitely could get a decent one for the same price or even less (no wing-tip or checkerboard, if that matters)

Thanks guys !

A member very nicely PM me also the day it was listed.
I really wanted the burgundy model - It's the one I had
originally. I have a couple of eBay checks for :
Rawlings SG 76 - never thought of adding a 'B' and that's
why it seemed to have fallen through my net.

Thanks again - you are a great bunch.
