ok boys, show us your dot coders (give us the model and year if you know it) :wink:
xfcb 1979. this glove seems to be oil-tanned from the factory (glovedoc can you comment on this?)

that would be my guess, the retro-R patch, Pro-H heel stamping and 2 dots. but the missing 1977 catalog would certainly confirm this theory (or glovdocs testimony) very cool older model

The latest Source Book (2007 edition) does have a 1977 Rawlings catalog- no Pro H listed, though. It seems to first appear with Rawlings 1978 offerings (which are also in the newer edition).

Great gloves guys! My own collection is mostly antique/vintage, but I love the high-end modern stuff and am a Rawlings fan and user.

By the way, spedrunr, allow me to pay you an unusual compliment. This is something I've noticed on your gloves from eBay for years, and is evident in the pictures posted here:

You sure do tie a beautiful square knot! :D

we have my parents to thank for sending me to cub scouts, i earned that badge by remembering the ol' "....left over right, then right over left..."

when i was learning the knot i thought to myself ".....when will i ever use this stupid knot....just give me the badge will ya!!...." :roll:
