Mizuno World Win

Postby Mike_2007 » December 21st, 2007, 5:56 pm

I am a fan of Mizuno World gloves and thought I would start on thread on them. For those familiar with them, do you prefer the USA made or Japan made? Which years/models do you like? Which variations such as Supremes, Curley Bates... Of all the gloves at his disposal, my son's #1 "gamer" is a perfectly broken in black/Japan MWV-600 - it just swallows up the baseball !

Big fan of the Japan made World Win series. Two of my faves are the TSUBOTA III...

World Win Gloves

Postby GloveGypsy » December 22nd, 2007, 10:56 pm

I have several World Win Mizuno gloves. I believe these gloves may be some of the best gloves ever manufactured.

One of the local universities has gone to Mizuno gloves and shoes ... eschewing TPX and Adidas ... I am beginning to understand why ...
Yes, I still have my first glove.

MWV - 600

Postby GloveGypsy » January 3rd, 2008, 12:17 am

Mike,
My 12 year old son also now uses a MWV-600. As you can see, it's seen some time on the diamond, but he won't have any other glove.

Mizuno World Win MWV-710

Postby GloveGypsy » January 3rd, 2008, 12:33 am

Here is a fine example of an outfield MIJ Mizuno World Win MWV-710. Superb craftsmanship typical of Japanese makers.

These Mizuno gloves are fantastic, in my opinion.

I may use this for softball as I love the pocket and play 3b, LF, or CF. It is almost too nice to use, but we play year-round (overhand, fast pitch) and when the weather dries, I am going to bring it to the park.

i would have to agree w/mvalz, the MIJ pro LTD's are a welcomed successor to the classic MIJ world wins
