Rawlings Future Glove Models ?

Just wanted to see what models people would like to see Rawlings bring back, offer more of, etc?

I would love to see more Wing Tip models ( especially a pitchers wing tip with closed webbing..either 2 piece closed or basket web )...modern cut, not the deep pocket style like Don Morton has.

I always thought the BELLOWS WEB was cool for an outfielders glove...I think softball players would like it as well. Bob, what is your opinion on wing tips and the old Bellows web gloves?

Does it cost more to make the wing tip gloves? Is that why there is only the Pro Preferrred with I web offered? It is a really unique Rawlings design.

How do you know they are doing mesh backs? I have 6 of them all from the real Rawlings pro shop. What is your source?

Is this a good thing? mesh gloves.....I dont like mesh hats ( only wool) and I surely dont want a mesh glove....leather, leather, leather! -Matt

Isn't strange. a few years ago mesh back meant dime store gloves now they are top of the line, wonder if PF flyers would be back if a Super star pitcher took a million or so to pitch in them ( aka Roger Clements mesh glove)

mizuno seemed to be the 1st to use the mesh back on their "pro model" gloves. i have a huge (14"?) GOC-5 world win with the block lettering that has a players name "D. Perozo" embossed into the pinky. definitely shaves off grams but seems to have less support on the fingers. i've posted these pics before in an earlier listing. there was a japanese website called the "glove museum" that had a bunch of pro gamers made by different companies that were almost all mesh backs.

Uh-oh, another hockey reference!

Nylon hockey gloves are big in the pros. I prefer them over leather. Lighter, dryer, and almost zero break in. I'm particular about the style, not the make up. Gloves serve a basic function and you go through several a season. They are also cheaper.

Now a baseball glove, to me, is much more special. I want consistency and longevity out of a baseball glove. If you break in a glove right, and it's good quality, it will last a long time. A majority of ball players probably want a dry, light, glove with little break in. In little league, we snicked at the guys with mesh back gloves...

Clemens was obviously pre-occupied win other things and probably didn't have time to break in a glove, needing a mesh back cheapy.
