exact color match

Postby rawcreations » June 14th, 2008, 2:33 pm

Thanks..it is the exact color, I have sent Brett updated pic's of the glove I have the Pro1000BFOT, my crazy neighbor left me $ 90 bucks on my work bench, he is so protective and thought I was getting to wound up, I have suffered two heart attacks in the last 24 months and I guess I have to watch myself. if you have a direct e mail, I can send you a series of pics of the glove, you can than place them side by side.
I really don't know who you are...my name is johnny and I understand you may own a business or be part of Rawlings, IF I could be assured of this, I would send you the glove. It's really a nice one, you really have to have a med.to small hand, I really like the small hand print around the heel..fit's my small hands perfectly, my son Cesar is 6'2 about 205, he can't stand small gloves, when I first won the glove on EBay, he tried it out and glove snapped two laces...it's really nice now, throwing the ball around now is really great. jnramos@unm.edu

Ok, I thought we were done with this but here is what I am going to do. Below are rawcreations pictures, plus, as I went through my collection of pictures of gloves I sold, I found the same glove, mint with tags. I'm pretty sure the "T" just stands for tanned leather and that what gives it it's darker appearance. It's been a couple years since I sold it but the guy I bought it from had two others that were exactly the same, just didn't have the tags on them. So as we can see, there are more examples of this model number, it is not a one of thing. It appears to have been made for more than one year because the tagging is different.

You are welcome to discuss the gloves for what they are, gloves - if there is any name calling, ridiculing, talking about oiling, blah blah blah, the thread gets closed.

Is there some reason for the unusual lacing of rawcreations' glove at the wrist pad? I have never seen (and this is not a huge surprise) a glove with that lacing pattern. The mint glove does not have that same pattern.

Is that due to these gloves being similar but not identical models?

I think the relace job by rawcreations looks solid...what the glove is made of I do not have the slightest.

Is there a "before" pic of the glove with a look at the palm area? I would like to see the original lace pattern of the palm.

Thanks

Well I think that should officially put an end to this. The glove has clearly been treated with something that darkened the leather. I would almost love to dunk my brand new USA 6HF in oil just to prove this point, but I think everyone knows this is still bs. Rawlings has always made different shades of leathers, thats nothing new. About that palm break, Rawlings has done it before on numerous patterns. I have an old eastbay from like 98 or 99 where the OT gloves first came out with all of the patterns including this one.

How about a glove made out of fine Corinthian Leather? Maybe signed by Ricardo Montalbán? I'd pay big bucks for that one, baby!
