What are the best types of pockets for middle infielder's gloves? Any specific pocket names? "Grip tite". What brands/models make the best gloves for a deep pocket but also a quick transfer?

there is significant difference between ss and 2nd... you could use a ss glove at 2nd but I wouldn't use a 2nd glove for ss. The 2nd base gloves have a "flat" pocket - very shallow so you can have a super quick ball transfer ( for turning double plays). Now if you are playing "rec" ball none of this really matters as much - just use what works best for you. Most "rec" ball players will use a slighly bigger/deeper glove to help you make the catch in the first place.
