Intersting old bat

Postby Giode » August 23rd, 2012, 6:27 pm

I've owned this old baseball bat for 15 years, without spending the time to learn much about it.

Here's the story:

Some folks I know in New York were renovating their garage in the mid 1990's. The house and garage date to the early 1800's, and as they were removing the interior siding in the garage, they found this bat. It had been kicking around for a few years before I just asked if they would sell it? Well...they didn't want to, so they just gave it to me :)

There's no manufacturers markings on it as far as I can tell. Condition is good, with some lite fracturing.

Anyone ever see something similar or have any information they can share?

Thanks!

I have a bat very similar to yours. No markings on it at all. I just assumed it was homemade.
