Photo of Franklin factory team

Postby Kenny Wel » August 20th, 2012, 9:29 pm

I went to my area's largest antique fair this weekend. I didn't see much for gloves, but I did bring home an interesting photo. It displays the Franklin factory baseball team. Franklin was an automobile manufacturer in Syracuse, NY that produced steam powered vehicles. The scan doesn't do it justice, but the original has a good view of the equipment and uniforms used by the young men.

It does look massive. The photo makes it look like it is 4 inches thick. I wonder how heavy this sucker is.

Those guys look awfully young - are you sure it's the factory team and not the HS team? Guess this photo could predate child labor laws though. 8)
